This policy explains what information LazerSEO ("we", "us") collects when you use lazerseo.com, why we collect it and what choices you have. We keep it short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@lazerseo.com.
What we collect
Information you give us.
- Contact and get-started forms: your name, email, phone number (optional), business name, website, city, the plan or service you're interested in, your message and how you heard about us.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Free audit: the website address you enter and, if you add them, your business name and city.
Information collected automatically.
- Server logs: like most websites, our servers record basic technical details such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so we can keep the site secure and working.
- Abuse prevention: when you submit a form or run an audit, we store a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) to limit spam and misuse.
- Search engine visits: we record visits from search engine and AI crawlers (the crawler's name and the page it visited). This contains no personal information.
- Analytics: only if we enable analytics and you agree to it in our cookie banner. See our cookie policy.
How we use it
- To reply to you and to provide the services you ask for
- To run your free audit and show you the results
- To send our newsletter, only if you ask for it
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to keep the site secure
- To understand how the site is used and improve it
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
If you're in the European Union or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are: your consent (newsletter, analytics), taking steps at your request before a contract or performing it (forms, services), and our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and improving the site).
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run LazerSEO, and only as needed:
- Website hosting and database providers
- Email delivery providers, to send replies, reports and the newsletter
- Google, when you run an audit: the website address is sent to Google's PageSpeed Insights service to measure speed, and the business name and city you enter may be sent to Google's Places service to look up your listing
- Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), if enabled on our forms
- Analytics (Google Analytics), only with your consent
- Payment processing (Stripe), when you pay for a service
- GojoWeb, our sister company, only with your permission: for example, when you're a client of both and want us to work from the same project details
- Authorities, if the law requires it
Audit reports
Each audit report has a private link that's hard to guess. Anyone you share the link with can see the report. Reports include only information about the website you entered. We keep reports for up to 12 months.
How long we keep information
- Enquiries from people who don't become clients: up to 24 months
- Client records: for as long as we work together, then as long as tax and accounting rules require
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe
- Server logs: a short period, usually under 30 days
Where information is processed
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. You can withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you're in California, you have the right to know, delete and correct your information, and we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.

Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit who can access information and keep our systems up to date. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Our services are for businesses and aren't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll make it clear on this page.
